Non Volo Studios short films are a collection of Graduate thesis shorts, student films, and short children's videos. We have a special interest in Sci/Fi and Fantasy and in films that have strong visual styles.
Checkmate
Checkmate is a short Sci-Fi/Noir by Joe Bohn and BohnsEye Films. The film is currently going through the film festival circuit. The film is about a brilliant inventor who is in a race against time to save the Artifical Intelligence he created. But he is unaware of the price he will have to pay to save her.
The film has already been nomiated for four awards at the Epidemic Film Festival for Best Narrative and Screenplay, and excellence in Editing and Production Design. You can check out BohnsEye Films website here.

Angel's Soul
"The youngest angel in Heaven must fight to get back the one thing she's lost, her soul."
Angel's Soul is currently in Color Correction and final sound and will be completed in the fall of 2010. It will be making the film festival circuit as well as being available to purchase on DVD on this site.

Blood Tie
Blood Tie is a short film produced by Biting Snake Productions and written and directed by Marco Magni. It was shot in 2009 on 35mm film and is a modern day western that deals with family, betrayal, and second chances. The film will be completed in November of 2009 and will be shown at film festivals all accross the United States and Italy.

3 O'clock
3 O'clock is an experimental film produced by Conella Films. It is about a woman who whose nightmarish reality forces her to chose between life and death. 3 O'clock was nominated for Best Experimental Film at the Epidemic Film Festival in San Francisco. The Assembly

A Father's Story
A Father's Story is a short 16mm silent film about a father who takes his small child out to the dock and tells her fantastical stories about himself. Not until she listens to all of his stories can she decide for herself if they are real or not. Watch a short clip from A Father's Story here .
Wandering
Wandering is short film that was shot as a series of 35mm photographs about a woman searching for notes left behind by her lost love. She must search the whole city before she can uncover the message he has left for her. Watch a short clip from Wandering here .
The Man Who Was Wanting to Live
"The Man" is a mock horror film about a hapless man who gets attacked by a group of monsters as he walks home one night. He must fight for his life through their pathatic and hilarious attempts at ensnaring him.
Three Wishes
Three Wishes is a short children's film about three girls who each get a birthday wish from a rather unlikely Fairy Godmother. It was produced by Faraway Stars Productions. Inc. through their Filmmakers of Nantucket division.
Alien Girls Came to Nantucket
Alien Girls is a short children's film about a group of kids who are stunned to find out that a couple of aliens have landed on their beach. They take the aliens out and show them what life is really like on Earth. It was produced by Faraway Stars Productions. Inc. through their Filmmakers of Nantucket division.
Project 79
Project 79 is short film about the intersecting lives of a large group of people as their lives fall apart and back together.
